The birth of Guild of Women Achievers (GOWA)

Guild of Women Achievers (GOWA) is the brainchild of Chaya Srivatsa who founded the organization in 1996.A victim of workplace harassment, Chaya felt the need for a women's organization that understands the concerns of the urban educated woman. The objective of GOWA was to motivate women to maximize their potential by networking for personal and professional growth. GOWA would be a global network of women from various fields so that they could access each other's products /talents/know-how/expertise and goodwill. Over the last ten years, GOWA has grown from strength to strength with over 1000 members representing diverse areas of work in seven countries. Membership to GOWA is open to women above 18 and is free. Lifetime Registration fee is Rs300 only ($20). Members will have access to each other.
